DO I REALLY NEED EMAIL MARKETING?

I have been in the marketing industry for 8 years, and for my first four years, I couldn’t stand the emails that were flooding my inbox. I considered email marketing completely as ‘spam’. But in the four years since, email marketing has grown to be one of my absolute favourite channels.

WHAT'S SO GOOD ABOUT IT?

First & foremost, we all have an email and chances are, you have signed up to many email databases to secure that cheeky 10% off.

It is so important to diversify your sales channels and ensure that (god forbid) something happens to our favourite social media account, you are still able to access your clients.

Emails also provide an opportunity to form deeper connections with your clients - giving you a chance to include more text and imagery in one glance, compared to our social media channels.

Emails are also a great way to create exclusive value via sales, free-downloads, and extra content AND they actually convert!

BUT WHAT DO I SHARE?

It’s important to think of emails like your social media - you want to be diversifying your content so that people are excited to open something new from you all the time BUT you also, always want to be giving value.

Consider these questions;

~ What is the desired outcome when they open this email of yours?

~ If another company sent the same email - would you be compelled to open it?
